The Florida Department of Financial Services is seeking a database manager to manage a small group of database administrators, with a focus on data storage, retrieval and security.

The Department of Health is hiring a health data analyst to provide operational and procedural support to the newborn screening hearing program in the Bureau of Early Steps and Newborn Screening, focusing on data analysis and system operations.

Duties listed for the positions are as follows:
  • Conduct daily quality assurance monitoring and data validation in the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) data system
  • Implement grant requirements for special data projects, GIS mapping and epidemiological data analysis related to the EHDI system
  • Link specimens and perform vital statistics matching in the EHDI data system, coordinating with vendors and data analysts to ensure data quality
  • Track data for grant reporting and website updates, manage performance data for hospitals and audiologists and prepare the annual program summary report

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, health-care administration, computer science, technology or a related field, preferably with Python coding experience.
