Citizens Property Insurance Corporation of Florida (Citizens) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for financial data services.

Citizens is a governmental entity in Florida, created by the Legislature in 2002 to offer affordable property insurance to those unable to secure coverage in the private insurance market.

According to the RFP, prospective vendors must provide data regarding property and casualty insurers within the state, plus financial data and analysis of Florida’s insurance market to qualify for the opportunity.

Other vendor requirements listed in the RFP include evaluating individual insurance companies’ financial data, market share, and other performance metrics and providing general financial industry data and news to Citizens to inform future decisions.

“The current provider of these services is S&P Global Market Intelligence LLC, which is eligible to respond to this RFP,” according to the bid document.

The contract will have an initial term of five years and may be renewed by Citizens for up to five additional years.

More information about RFP No. 24-0014 can be found online. All vendor proposals must be submitted before 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 20.
