Tracking the Spend: $30M for Transportation Department Top IT-Related Buys in Q3

The funds were used for IT consulting services, software maintenance and computer hardware maintenance.

The Florida Department of Transportation spent about $30 million on its five largest IT-related purchases in the third quarter of 2024.

According to the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System, the department spent $29.7 million on IT consulting services, software maintenance, computer hardware maintenance and databases management system software maintenance.

The five largest buys were:
  • $12.7 million to Computer Aid Inc., a corporation that offers consulting, digital services and service management
  • $4.8 million to TEKsystems Inc., a full-stack capabilities provider
  • $4.8 million to Kyra Solutions Inc., a provider of IT staff augmentation and managed services
  • $4.6 million to Bentley Systems Inc., a company that develops and supports software and services for infrastructure
  • $2.7 million to Insight Public Sector Inc., a systems integrator offering hardware, software, cloud solutions and IT services to businesses and government
