According to the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System, FDOT spent $36,991,382 on services such as temporary personnel, maintenance, IT consultation, operating system software, telecommunication transmission tower construction and cloud-based software.
The five largest contracts were:
- $13,351,264 to Computer Aid Inc., a global technology services firm that focuses on digital transformation and innovation
- $8,886,514 to Florida State University, one of the state’s public research universities that has a total enrollment of nearly 45,000 and which runs the Northwest Regional Data Center
- $6,420,118 to SHI International Corp., which provides IT products and services to customers in the public, private and nonprofit sectors
- $4,798,208 to Kyra Solutions Inc., which provides technology-driven solutions for optimizing workflows
- $3,535,278 to Motorola Solutions Inc., a telecommunications and data communications equipment provider
The $36,991,382 is significantly greater than the $12,569,704 that FDOT spent on its five largest IT services contracts in the second quarter of 2023.
