Here are the five largest IT-related purchases made by the agency from July 1 to Dec. 27, 2023, rounded up, based on data from the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System:

  • $4 million to National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, a foundation committed to sustaining, restoring and enhancing the nation's fish, wildlife, plants and habitats.
  • $340,000 to PC Solutions and Integration Inc., an IT solutions firm providing network, security, cloud, communication and data services.
  • $190,000 to SHI International Corp., a provider of IT infrastructure, end-user computing, cybersecurity, and IT optimization products and services.
  • $183,000 to IT Staffing and Consulting Inc., an IT consulting provider offering complete project outsourcing and IT staffing.
  • $157,000 to The Canopy of Technology Inc., a company that specializes in creating large- and small-scale customized software applications.

Regarding specific purchases, the department spent approximately $3.5 million on environmental mitigation banking products, $1 million on IT consultation services, $371,000 on software maintenance and support, $337,000 on network switches, $150,000 on security protection software and $120,000 on computer servers.
