Tracking the Spend: Department of Corrections Spent $16M on Top 5 Purchases in Q4

During the last quarter of 2023, the Florida Department of Corrections’ five largest purchases of IT goods totaled $16,046,217.

The Florida Department of Corrections spent $16 million in the last quarter of 2023 on its five largest buys of IT goods.

The department’s website states it “is the country’s third largest state prison system with a budget of $2.4 billion, approximately 96,000 inmates and nearly 167,000 offenders on active community supervision.”

Here are the agency’s five largest purchases during Q4, according to data from the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System:

Regarding specific purchases, the department spent about $13 million on temporary personnel services.
