DOC spent $33 million on IT services in the first quarter this year, $11.3 million of which went to five vendors between Jan. 1 and March 31.
Here are those IT-related purchases, rounded up, based on data from the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System:
- $4.2 million to NTT Data Inc., an IT consulting company that focuses on business process services, IT modernization and managed services
- $2.1 million to Carahsoft Technology Corp., an IT government solutions provider that sells IT hardware, software and consulting services to federal, state and local governments
- $2 million to Northgate Limited Inc., a maintenance, repair and operations supplier
- $1.6 million to Pride Enterprises, a provider of job-centered vocational training programs that allows eligible inmates to transition into the job market upon completion of their sentences
- $1.4 million to Insight Public Sector Inc., a hardware and software provider that assists in modernization of government IT-related tech services
Regarding specific purchases, the department spent about $8.5 million on IT consultation services; $1.2 million on drug abuse, prevention or control programs; and $1 million on rehabilitation services.
