Tracking the Spend: DMS Spent $72M on Top 5 IT Purchases in Q3

The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) spent $72 million on its five largest IT-related purchases during the third quarter of 2023.

The department supports state agencies and state employees with workforce and business-related functions, which includes state purchasing, real estate development and management, human resource management and retirement.

Here, rounded up, are the agency’s five largest purchases during Q3, according to data from the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System:
  • $28 million to NorthgateArinso LLC, an HR solutions provider that provides services related to workforce management, time and attendance, payroll, talent administration and people analytics
  • $21 million to L3Harris Technologies Inc., a global aerospace and defense technology firm that provides advanced defense and commercial technologies
  • $11 million to Accenture LLP, a global professional services company that provides strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations services and solutions
  • $6 million to Public Consulting Group LLC, a public-sector management consulting and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education and human services agencies
  • $5 million to KPMG LLP, an audit firm that offers business, audit, tax and advisory services

Regarding specific purchases, DMS spent about $31 million on business and corporate management consultation services, $19 million on radio services, $11 million on ERP or database applications programming services, $6 million on IT consultation services, $2 million on process and procedures management consulting services and $2 million on communications server software.
