Two Judicial Circuits Hiring Deputy Court Technology Officers

The 17th and 19th Judicial Circuits are seeking to fill key roles in court technology positions.

Two of the state’s court circuits are hiring deputy IT leaders.

The 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida is hiring a deputy trial court technology officer. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, the job posting states the position supports the trial court technology officer in managing the circuit’s technology operations.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, strategic planning, budget management, policy development, project management and related administrative tasks as directed.

Desirable qualifications, according to the job posting, include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, information technology, computer science, management information systems or a closely related field
  • Four years of relevant work experience, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial position
  • Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the suggested educational qualification on a year-for-year basis
  • Further relevant education can substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, except for supervisory roles
The annual salary is $88,000 and recruitment will continue until the position is filled.

The 19th Judicial Circuit in Saint Lucie County is also seeking a deputy trial court technology officer, with a working position title of full stack developer.

According to the job posting, this role drives internal software development as the team’s founding member. Proficiency in various technologies is key, spanning web frameworks, APIs, SQL databases and back-end languages. Additionally, the role oversees data management, guiding business decisions through data processing and visualization.

Desirable qualifications include:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, information technology, computer science, management information systems or closely related field
  • Four years of related work experience and one year of experience with visualization tools (MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience developing complex queries, familiarity with large database systems and web application development
