Under New CIO, Orlando Opens Recruitment for Several IT Positions

The open positions include Level I, II and III end user device administrators, an enterprise application administrator and GIS application developer roles.

With a new CIO stepping in, the city of Orlando is recruiting for several IT positions, including three end user device administrators, an enterprise application administrator and GIS applications developers.

As a Level I, II or III end user administrator, each role would involve performing professional, administrative and technical work related to designing, building, implementing and maintaining platforms that manage end user devices.

The positions will also assist in maintaining application data and database landscapes by establishing best practices and implementing application data policies and procedures that drive improved efficiency, productivity and security.

The distinctions between each role center around salary and education. For example, minimum requirements and salaries include:

End User Device Administrator I: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or another related field and one year of technical experience in IT, network management and system administration. The hourly salary for the role is $27.46-$35.02.

End User Device Administrator II: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or another related field and three years of technical experience in IT, network management and system administration. The hourly salary for the role is $28.06-$37.18.

End User Device Administrator III: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or another related field and five years of technical IT experience, network management and system administration experience. The hourly salary for the role is $30.59-$40.53.

Desirable skills for each job include:
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, formerly known as System Center Configuration Manager 
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft PowerShell scripting 
  • Experience and proficiency with Apple Device Management and security solutions such as Jamf 

The application deadline for each role is Aug. 26.

Other IT-related job postings from the city include an enterprise application administrator role focused on providing professional and technical work support for end users using various software programs. The hourly salary for the role is $28.06-$37.18, and the application deadline is Dec. 30.

Level I, II and III GIS application developers are also being recruited. Each role will perform professional, technical and analytical work in programming and computer systems analysis and serve as an information systems resource in various areas of expertise, including software, systems development, training and hardware for client departments. The hourly salary for the roles ranges between $27.46-$40.53, and the application deadline is Dec. 31.
