The University of Central Florida (UCF), a public research university in Orange County, has issued an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) seeking vendors for specific IT telecommunications services.

According to ITN No. 2023-11MCSA, this contract covers typical IT tasks for UCF, such as daily work orders and small projects, across diverse campus constructions. Larger projects will be bid separately by contract awardees. It doesn’t include major capital construction projects but serves as a budgeting and pre-qualification process for inviting contractors to bid on those projects.

Specific services include:
  • Wireless access point cabling, installation and testing
  • Structured cabling, covering copper, fiber-optic and coax riser installations, as well as voice, data and TV outlets, including setups for telecom rooms, server rooms and outdoor copper and fiber installations
  • Installation, commissioning and cabling for Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) access control systems
  • Installation, cabling and camera focusing for ESS IP surveillance systems
  • Power over Ethernet lighting cabling, installation and commissioning

More detailed information about ITN No. 2023-11MCSA, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. The deadline for responses is 2 p.m. June 5. Brian Sargent is the point of contact.
