“My role is to help Florida’s public sector strengthen mobile security by ensuring devices and applications are secure,” Sokolowski said.
To achieve this, he said he works with state, local and educational agencies to identify vulnerabilities and offer solutions to protect agencies’ mobile devices and applications from phishing and ransomware threats.
Before joining Zimperium, Sokolowski held various sales executive positions, including overseeing cybersecurity regional sales for Cisco’s eastern region.
Before that, he held other sales-related roles with MobileIron, Zebra Technologies, Samsung, ViewSonic, Tally and Lexmark.
Moving forward, Sokolowski said his short-term focus will be on deploying solutions that give agencies immediate visibility into the security of their mobile devices and applications.
In the long term, he said, “I want Zimperium to become the leading mobile security provider for Florida’s public sector, helping agencies manage and secure their mobile environments with full visibility and compliance.”
Sokolowski holds a bachelor’s and master’s in business administration from Loyola University Maryland.
