A Look at DeSantis’ IT Budget Proposals for the Governor’s Office

A few notable recommendations for the Executive Office of the Governor include $12.9 million for technology infrastructure at the state’s Emergency Operations Center, $8.2 million for an enterprise business solution and $8.2 million for a federal aid tracking system.

The governor’s office would receive millions of dollars for operational support, technology infrastructure, enterprise business and identity access management solutions under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ fiscal year 2025-26 budget recommendations.

Most of the governor’s office IT recommendations fall under emergency prevention, preparedness and response.

The largest budget recommendation under this category is $12.9 million for technology infrastructure at the state’s Emergency Operations Center, which coordinates disaster information and assistance requests to help communities in need. That’s a little more than half of the office’s initial budget request.

Other notable budget recommendations for the governor’s office include:
  • $8.2 million for an enterprise business solution 
  • $8.2 million for a federal aid tracking system 
  • $3.6 million for Division of Emergency Management operational support 
  • $3.2 million for the WebEOC initiative
  • $410,000 for a legislative appropriations/planning and budgeting subsystem support rewrite 
  • $325,000 for identity access and management
