For the next fiscal year, state agencies are asking the Legislature to fund more than $972 million in technology-related projects.

That’s a small step down from last year’s total of $1.1 billion. There are a total of 260 legislative budget requests (LBR) — although for the purposes of this article, Industry Insider — Florida consolidated some requests which were presented as multiple line items — also slightly lower than last year.

The single largest request is again the Florida Health Care Connections (FX) project, for which the Agency for Health Care Administration is asking for about $190 million. This would fund Phase 3 and 4 activities, including transitioning off the current Florida Medicaid Management Information System and conduct activities that could allow the state to end its fiscal agent contract.

The Planning, Accounting and Ledger Management (PALM) project also continues, with many departments seeking funding to prepare for the coming system, which will replace the statewide accounting system known as FLAIR.

Below is a searchable, sortable table of every such request published on the Florida Fiscal Portal, including the dollar amount requested, the project title, a link to the LBR and the page number it begins on.
