Fort Myers Issues RFP for ERP Software and Implementation Services

The city is looking to install an easily accessible, low-maintenance cloud application to improve its business processes and overall user experience.

ERP Concept
Fort Myers, the county seat of Lee County, has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and implementation services.

According to the RFP, two key systems that manage financial, personnel and citizen services applications will shut down in 2025 and 2027.

The first system to shut down is Kronos Workforce, on Dec. 31, 2025, which manages time entry and scheduling functions throughout the city.

The second system is Tyler Technologies’ ERP solution, Eden, which will shut down in 2027 after being used by the city for 20 years.

As a result, the city is looking to implement a new enterprise resource planning system to manage the city’s financial, purchasing, payroll and human resource needs and is seeking professional services to implement the system and train city staff on the new software.

Respondents can submit multiple-vendor proposals for the solicitation; however, bidders must identify the roles and responsibilities of each vendor regarding implementation activities and post-implementation support.

Important dates for the solicitation include:
  • On Dec. 6, 2023, at 1 p.m., a non-mandatory pre-proposal Zoom meeting will take place
  • Dec. 14, 2023 at 4 p.m. is the deadline to submit questions
  • On Jan. 9, 2024, at 2 p.m., proposals are due

The city also plans to release a second RFP for utility billing software and implementation services soon.

All questions, including those related to technical issues, must be submitted via the city’s Planet Bid portal to Procurement Manager Denise K. Finn at dfinn@cityftmyers.com or cfmpurchasing@cityftmyers.com.
