The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking vendor input on products or solutions to identify and remediate inefficiencies in current FWC workflows.

According to a request for information (RFI) from the commission, “the FWC is launching a new initiative to collect and implement ideas for improving agency operations and saving taxpayer dollars.”

Part of that initiative includes using advanced technology such as AI to identify and eliminate unnecessary spending, programs and contracts within the commission in order to promote efficiency, maximize productivity and eliminate waste.

As for specific vendor questions, the solicitation asks the following:
  • How will the proposed solution achieve cost savings for the FWC?
  • How will the proposed solution increase productivity?
  • How will the proposed solution increase employee accountability?
  • How will the proposed solution improve the working environment for FWC staff?
  • What is the potential cost of the proposed solution?
Based on vendors’ answers to these questions, the FWC will discuss how to implement and use new technologies or solutions within the agency to improve overall efficiency and operations.

More information about RFI FWC 24/25-95 can be found online. Questions are due at 5 p.m. on June 6, and the submission deadline is 5 p.m. on July 8. Matthew Carroll is the contact for this solicitation.
