Inaugural Central Florida Digital Government Summit to Feature Orlando-Area CIOs

On April 25, Industry Insider — Florida will host its inaugural Central Florida Digital Government Summit, featuring city of Orlando CIO Rosa Akhtarkhavari and Orange County CIO Rafael Mena.

On April 25, Industry Insider — Florida’s inaugural Central Florida Digital Government Summit will take place, featuring conversations with leading industry partners and public-sector professionals, including Rosa Akhtarkhavari, chief information officer for the city of Orlando, and Rafael Mena, CIO of Orange County.

“In Orlando, we’re focused on collaboration locally, regionally, and nationally to solve problems and share lessons learned while anticipating future needs,” Akhtarkhavari said ahead of the event. “Key to those efforts is not only building relationships within our public agency circles, but also growing relationships with our service providers.”

Furthermore, she added, “I look forward to joining you at the Digital Government Summit and discussing how together we can continue to build secure, efficient, forward-focused, resilient operations that meet today’s technology needs while anticipating needs on the horizon.”

Other attendees include 15 local IT leaders from various cities and IT departments, along with industry representatives from companies such as Cradlepoint.

Also noteworthy is Industry Insider — Florida’s upcoming advisory board meeting on Feb. 13 to discuss the agenda for the Central Florida Digital Government Summit.
