Orange County Utilities Issues RFP for SCADA Services

In the request for proposal, the county aims to initiate a five-year contract for supervisory control and data acquisition services.

Orange County Utilities issued a request for proposals (RFP) last week regarding integrating supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) services into the county’s existing infrastructure.

According to RFP No. Y24-1021, contractors are responsible for offering professional services encompassing SCADA planning, design and integration including subsystems like electrical, instrumentation, servers and network communications relevant to the utility SCADA system.

Other requirements include:
  • Work authorizations cover planning, design, installation, repair, replacement and programming of SCADA, electrical systems (up to 480 volts), instrumentation, server and network systems
  • Services including engineering, maintenance, repair, programming, construction and replacement of SCADA and associated assets like control panels, PLCs, HMI software, power systems, instrumentation, server systems and network communication systems
  • Providing all necessary parts, materials, equipment, approved subcontractors, labor and supervision
