In terms of technology, the governor’s proposed budget for FY 2024-25 amounts to $17.2 million, up from $16.2 million in 2023-24.
The key initiatives outlined for the 2024-25 fiscal year are as follows:
- Estimated expenditures – Operations: $15.6 million, including $6 million for contracted services, $2.2 million for the northwest regional data center and $1.9 million for expenses. This is compared to $16.4 million from the previous year.
- Staffing for cybersecurity and help desk in the division of technology: $486,087 as opposed to $0 from the year prior.
- Increase in contracted services in the division of technology: $465,000 compared to $0 from the previous year.
