St. Johns County School District Requests $14.7M for IT in FY 24-25

The budget includes funding for instructional technology, administrative services and critical tech upgrades such as new computers, security systems and software.

The St. Johns County School District is requesting $14.7 million for IT-related projects in its approved Fiscal Year 2024-25 District Technology Plan.

The St. Johns County School District serves more than 55,000 students across 47 schools, a virtual program and a technical college.

Key IT-related projects in the general operating funds include:
  • $10.8 million for instruction-related technology
  • $1.3 million for administrative technology services
Tech-related projects allocated in the capital budget are:
  • $1.4 million for its technology plan
  • $1.2 million for equipment purchases
Key future IT purchases include:
  • $500,000 for new student computers
  • $200,000 for Centegix mobile panic alarm badges
  • $115,000 for Zonar school bus GPS technology
  • $500,000 for security cameras and access controls
  • $718,277 for computer software
