State Courts Recruiting for Deputy Technology Officer in Fort Lauderdale

The chosen candidate will help develop and implement strategic plans for court technology, oversee technology budgets and manage the court’s network communication systems.

Florida Courts is looking to hire a deputy trial court technology officer (CTO) in Fort Lauderdale.

The State Courts System includes the state’s Supreme Court, six district courts of appeal, 20 circuit courts and 67 county courts.

According to the job posting, the chosen candidate will help develop strategic plans for court technology, prepare and manage technology budgets, implement computer policies and procedures, and manage technology projects.

Other job responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with the chief deputy trial CTO to organize, plan and execute tech strategies 
  • Delegating tasks to the office’s junior system administrator 
  • Assisting the chief deputy trial CTO in managing the court’s network communication systems, including local area networks, wide area networks and Internet connectivity 
  • Helping manage and test backup systems and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability 
  • Working closely with the chief deputy trial CTO to plan and execute IT projects that enhance court services and operations
