State Courts System Seeking Information Systems Consultant II

The position will develop new systems and maintain existing ones using modern technologies with a focus on LAMP stack development.

The Florida State Courts System is recruiting for a full-time remote Information Systems Consultant II specializing in LAMP stack development.

According to the job posting, the ideal candidate will develop and maintain its application system, analyze technical feasibility, resolve software issues and develop “new productivity tools and methodologies and provide production support.”

Additional job functions and responsibilities include:
  • Analyze application requirements and technical feasibility
  • Support improvements to Court Application Processing Systems (CAPS)
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain applications and database
  • Resolve issues and enhance existing systems
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure project progress
Preference will be given to applicants with:
  • Three years of experience developing PHP or .NET applications
  • Five years of experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Experience with the LAMP stack and frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, MVC)
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud technologies and cross-platform integration
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems or a related field and two to three years of related work experience is required. Relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis (excluding supervisory experience).
