In 2023, reinforcing cybersecurity was top of mind for state agencies, resulting in projects such as a Local Government Cybersecurity Grant Program, establishing data governance guidelines, reducing redundant data and more.

The chosen candidate would oversee all implementation and support efforts regarding its enterprise data catalog.

During a recent Tallahassee event, the CIO for the Florida Department of Corrections and the CTO for Florida Digital Service shared some of the skills, strategies and experiences they have implemented to support IT.

The department, which includes the state CIO, works with state agencies to enhance digital government services and has a total budget of $87,249,193.

During the Florida Public Sector Cybersecurity Summit, several government and industry experts shared their perspectives on the state’s cyber landscape and how to mitigate risks.
