TX-RAMP certified
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is certified at the highest level of TX-RAMP, required for any cloud service provider that processes, stores, or transmits confidential agency data and giving Texas government agencies the ability to purchase OCI directly from the Texas Dept. of Information Resources.
The Texas Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) was formed in response to a law requiring a state risk and authorization management program that provides a standardized approach for security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud computing services that process the data of a state agency. This program prohibits a state agency from entering or renewing a contract with a vendor to purchase cloud computing services unless the vendor demonstrates compliance with the program requirements.
To achieve a Provisional Authorization to Operate, a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) must be
compliant with over 300 security controls, undergo a rigorous third-party assessment, and
obtain formal attestation.
Security standards are essential to any organization protecting its digital assets and critical workloads. Yet, standards by themselves are not enough. Which standards should you follow to have assurance you have the baseline security controls to protect your infrastructure and data? How do you know the vendors you rely on are compliant with those standards?
Industry accreditations are the answer. Accreditations for cyber assurance and resilience provide organizations with the confidence that a third-party review and approval that a solutions partner is meeting a baseline of commonly accepted best practices. The governing agency will then give a stamp of approval to the reviewed solutions by issuing a provisional authorization to operate, followed later with an authorization to operate.
Purpose-built cloud regions
Security is part of the Oracle culture and never an afterthought. With over 40 years of experience serving government agencies, Oracle understands the importance of building security into its solutions by default, rather than add in security later, fundamental to how our cloud regions are purpose-built with comprehensive security controls and support for regulatory compliance requirements.
Today, you can have confidence in leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services for your most critical workloads and data, whether you require the commercial region or Oracle’s Government Cloud region, which whether you choose Commercial or Government Cloud regions, authorized to operate at a FedRAMP High JAB and Impact Level 4.
