Agency Seeks Information on Cloud-Based Software

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a request for information about cloud-based auditing platforms for its internal audit team.

Audit
The Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) has issued a request for information (RFI) for audit software to be used by the agency’s Chief Auditor’s Office (CAO).

The CAO provides internal audit services to the TxDPS in order to improve agency operations, governance, risk management and internal controls, according to the website.

They seek information for an audit platform that is a TX-RAMP-compliant SaaS hosted in a government cloud environment. It should be comparable to TeamMate Plus and be “robust” and “customizable.” The platform would enable entitywide risk assessment, timekeeping for audit staff and follow-up tracking.

The RFI document has a detailed list of preferred features and functions that include:
  • Role-based access and security
  • Integrated workflows
  • Compliant with current laws and regulations
  • Provide dashboards, automation and reporting capabilities
  • Must be compatible with desktops, laptops and mobile devices
  • Automate document flow and signature capabilities

RFI No. CAO20230329 has a due date of 5 p.m. April 19. The RFI doesn't guarantee procurement and is meant for information gathering, which may become part of a planning process. The contact is Rebecca Petrik.
