Aiden Technologies Joins McKinney’s Blossoming Tech Hub

The city is making use of its Innovation Fund to draw new business.

Aiden Technologies is packing up its Plano headquarters and setting up shop less than 10 miles northeast in McKinney amidst a booming technology cluster.

Following tech companies like Review Wave and HBCU Hub, the AI and cybersecurity startup is the next business to make the move to McKinney and the 29th grant recipient from the city’s Innovation Fund. It will open its new headquarters in Serendipity Labs’ co-working space in the McKinney Craig Ranch neighborhood.

With a three-year grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corp., Aiden Technologies plans to expand its market and start recruiting staff as soon as possible.

CEO Joshua Aaron said the company is excited to be part of the entrepreneurial tech community in downtown McKinney and grateful for the grant. The grant, which is supported by a half-cent sales tax in the city, requires Aiden Technologies to remain headquartered in McKinney for at least three years and add jobs in the community.

“Aiden is indicative of the type of company we are looking to attract to McKinney, and we are thrilled that they have chosen to headquarter in our community,” McKinney Economic Development Corp. President Peter Tokar III said in a statement. “This grant is an investment in the growth of our city, our talented people and the future of our thriving tech industry.”

The 16-employee startup targets medium to large corporate clients in highly regulated industries like health care, financial services and insurance. The company operates across the U.S. with additional offices in New York and California. Its fastest growing markets are in New York and Texas. The company hopes to eventually add the federal government as a client and expand internationally.

Raising more than $3 million in investor funding, Aiden Technologies was founded in 2020 as a hyper-automation solution created to simplify the complexities of managing Microsoft Windows environments. Its automated system is designed to update and secure client technology by deploying more than 645 intelligent software packages.

The company quintupled revenues in 2021 and reached $1 million in annual recurring revenue earlier this year. Over the next three years, Aiden Technologies says it is on target for additional growth and is hiring.
