Residents of the city of Palestine can now report potholes and stray animals on the go with the city's new mobile app.

The city recently launched Palestine Texas Mobile, its own free “user-friendly” app to try to ensure quicker responses and better communication with its residents.

The app is an effort to make it easier for residents to stay informed, engage with local government and report problems on the go.

“I encourage all residents to download the city’s app and use it to report issues like potholes, broken streetlights, or drainage problems,” said City Manager Teresa Herrera. “Reporting through the app helps us respond faster and use our resources wisely. By doing this, you’re helping keep our city in great shape. Please be proactive and report any concerns so we can fix them as quickly as possible.”

“This app is a simple and easy way for residents to connect with the city to look up local laws, officials and get general information about the city,” City Finance Director Andrew Sibai said. “Residents can also make utility payments and contact city staff about problems around town, like downed limbs and potholes.”

The key features of this app allow residents to submit online forms to report issues to the following departments:
  • Parks
  • Animal Control
  • Code Enforcement
  • Litter Abatement
  • Utilities
  • Streets
Residents will also find information about upcoming events and view street closures.

“The new city app is a great tool for connecting residents and city services,” said District 6 Councilmember Christopher Gibbs. “Whether it’s reporting potholes, litter or animal control issues, it gives the community a simple way to speak up and help keep our neighborhoods clean and safe. It’s smart, efficient and a big step in the right direction.”

The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
