Forney Names Yazdanpanahi to Lead City’s IT Operations

“Joseph has an extensive background in IT in the public sector,” said City Manager Charles Daniels. “His education and experience will be a great asset to our growing staff.”

Joseph Yazdanpanahi was recently hired as Forney’s director of IT and was set to begin work this week in the city of about 23,500.

“Joseph has an extensive background in IT in the public sector. His education and experience will be a great asset to our growing staff,” said City Manager Charles Daniels in a news release.

Yazdanpanahi was most recently the director of IT for Sunnyvale.

“The information technology department has a broad impact on the city of Forney. I am thrilled to join this amazing team and bring our implementation and use of technology to the next level,” Yazdanpanahi said.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he has served as CIO for Jacksonville, Texas, and has worked in IT for Smith County and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s of business administration from The University of Texas at Tyler.
