McLennan Community College in Waco recently adopted the YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform, which will help the college improve accessibility for students.

The platform is used with YuJa Enterprise Video Platform, according to a news release, and will help instructors pinpoint accessibility issues, generate accessible documents, personalize the web experience for users and remediate issues the software finds.

The college uses the D2L Brightspace learning management system (LMS), and the YuJa products integrate into the LMS.

The college has about 8,500 students each semester.

“McLennan Community College has been using YuJa’s Video Platform for several years. The addition of YuJa Panorama will help streamline ed-tech tools with a comprehensive, all-in-one and scalable solution that can help infuse accessibility into course content from the start,” said YuJa’s Chief Business Officer Nathan Arora. “The college is committed to providing an accessible learning environment, and we’re excited to help deliver on that commitment.”

Texas requires state agencies and higher education institutions to comply with electronic information resource accessibility statutes and rules, so all users may have access to information. The state provides guidance through the Department of Information Resources (DIR).
