North Exurb Includes Enterprise Resource Planning System in Spending

The system is part of capital planning listed in this year’s budget documents.

One city of about 34,000 residents has plans to fund multiple technology or technology-related projects over the course of this year. These items can be found in the FY2022-23 city budget, and some projects may be underway.

Prosper, north of Dallas, has a $95.6 million budget with a city staff including nine IT positions.

The city plans to spend $873,249 on an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system as part of its capital expenditures.

A city fire station is listed as a facility project that will cost some $7.9 million to build with $1.4 million listed for additional costs.

Additional items found in the document include an integrated library system upgrade with a total cost of $15,100 and a joint police and GIS department drone program with a total cost of $97,595.
