According to a spokesperson from the software company, “Brooks County Sheriff, Fort Bend County Sheriff, University Park Police, Lake Jackson Police and Missouri City Police are among the agencies that will begin implementing CentralSquare products in the coming months.”
Of those jurisdictions, Brooks County is a new CentralSquare customer while the others were already doing business with the company.
Moving forward, “as each Texas agency deploys CentralSquare’s public safety and justice suite of solutions, the short-term goal is to create one system to capture and share critical data,” CentralSquare’s spokesperson said. “This integration will immediately streamline information flow and communication across responders, departments and organizations to increase interoperability, efficiency and accuracy for faster response times and smarter policing.”
Regarding the agencies’ use of tech, each group plans to use CentralSquare’s public safety suite, which enables coordinated response and information sharing between agencies, departments and municipalities.
So far, each agency has implemented the company’s computer-aided dispatch (CAD), records management system (RMS) and jail management products, and Ford Bend, Lake Jackson and Missouri City are using the company’s false alarm management solution.
“By implementing CentralSquare to support integration between 911, CAD, RMS, mobile and jail management, we will be able to support more intentional data sharing across the county, enabling faster responses when every second counts,” said Eric Fagan, the sheriff in Fort Bend County, in a statement. “The ability to capture all the critical information in one system and share whenever, wherever we need with specific access privileges will also increase the accuracy and efficiency in our reporting.”
Long-term, CentralSquare plans to work with each agency as they move to the cloud and scale their systems to allow secure access to data and platforms, the company spokesperson added.
