Rackspace Technology has named Josh Prewitt senior vice president of Rackspace Government Solutions, where he will lead the company’s strategy and growth across government and education.
Prewitt joined Rackspace in 2010 as a Linux administrator and has since held leadership roles spanning technical operations, engineering, product development and private cloud. His relationship with Rackspace began even earlier as a customer, giving him a perspective shaped by both sides of the customer relationship.
In his new role, Prewitt will lead a sharpened strategy centered on helping government agencies and educational institutions modernize critical technology environments while maintaining greater control over their data, security and infrastructure.
