As Texas agencies saw peak procurement and contract activity over the past months, some awarded dozens of contracts such as IT spends including equipment, subscriptions, software and services. While large awards were given, four agencies filled contracts of various worth.
The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) awarded the Comm100 Enterprise Edition Platform subscription renewal to the Comm100 Network Corp. in September. The software maintenance and support contract is worth $451,800.
The agency also will spend $104,681 on a VirTra firearms training simulator system from VirTra Inc.
The Comptroller for Public Accounts (CPA) awarded Udemy a $45,126 contract in September. The original bid documents state that CPA IT Division employees use the Udemy online platform for professional development. The contract categories are listed as educational and training services; course development services, instructional and training; and educational services, alternative.
The State Preservation Board (SPB) awarded a contract of $100,000 to EXL Media for the Bullock Texas State History Museum’s digital marketing including search-engine marketing, advertising, geofencing and other targeting. The museum is in Austin, and the board awarded the contract early this month. It is listed under communications marketing services.
The Texas Water Development Board awarded a $49,000 contract to TexasAdmin.com to provide Internet video of designated public meetings and hearings in September. The bid documents request the meetings be published for later streaming. This is under the application service providers category.
