The Austin suburb, home to Dell Technologies, plans to spend $44 million.

Round Rock voters said yes to two bond propositions earlier this month, with Proposition B funding a public safety training expansion and new fire stations. The proposition is worth $44 million.

Members of the fire and police departments both use the public safety training facility, built in 2018. The project originally included classrooms and a driving track, which were cut, and this bond will allow for those additions.

The city has nine fire departments and will relocate one and build two more with the bond money.

City growth is reflected in the 2022-2023 budget, as 20 public safety positions were added. The public safety budget sits at $70.6 million. The suburb has about 129,000 residents and will add at least 40,000 during the next decade, according to the city website.

Opportunities are posted on the city's purchasing pages.
