As San Antonio prepares its budget proposal, the city still has two significant IT solicitations planned.

Remaining procurement planning for FY 2024 includes:
  • Request for proposals worth $9.7 million as part of its SAP upgrade program, including a “system integrator to implement Ariba and S4”
  • Competitive sealed proposals worth $100,000 for San Antonio Healthy Start’s data management system and maintenance

The city manager will propose San Antonio’s budget Aug. 15, but this month the City Council continues reviewing departmental budget recommendations for FY 2025-26.

Meanwhile, current IT spending includes approvals from previous council meetings.

On June 6, the council agreed to pay $222,273 to PropertyRoom.com for the online auctioning of police property room surplus, the sale of which brings about $95,000 into the city coffers each year. Members also agreed to spend $373,548 with Tyler Technologies for electronic citation equipment and accessories as the current equipment is more than 10 years old.

On May 16, the council agreed to upgrade the County Clerk’s vital records programming with $6.6 million to Genesis Systems for a five-year system contract and $6,770 to lease six Xerox multi-function printers.

The city’s fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, and the city uses its own procurement portal to accept bids.
