Multiple school districts are beginning to publish bid documents and requests for proposals (RFPs) or information related to upcoming hardware and software needs.
Granbury Independent School District (ISD), southwest of Fort Worth, is seeking a single purchase of 440 Chromebooks with 11-inch screens, providing ChromeOS, 4 GB memory, 32 GB hard drives and wireless capabilities, according to the bid documents. The devices must include USB 3.1, USB type C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. This request is for a competitive sealed bid due at 1:15 p.m. June 3 that includes Google Education Perpetual Licensing.
Belton ISD, south of Waco, is seeking technology supplies, equipment, parts and services, according to an RFP. Awards are to “be made to multiple vendors on an incremental basis during the solicitation offering period.” Vendors who can provide a range of technology products, repairs or services are invited to respond. This will be a negotiated procurement for a term of one year with four automatic renewals, and the submission deadline is 10 a.m. June 7.
Sherman ISD, in the Lake Texoma area, has an RFP for district instructional supplies that may include online content and equipment that may include laptops, tablets and audio-visual equipment. According to the RFP, this is a “multiple award contract,” and vendors who have previously awarded on RFP #266-2021 don’t need to reapply. This contract runs through 2026 with multiple awards given “on an incremental basis during the offering period.” The submission deadline is 2 p.m. June 30.
