Below is a breakdown of these funds and the projects they look to accomplish:
- $64 million was allocated to Texas A&M University to replace the campus’s network.
- $25 million was allocated to Stephen F. Austin State University for IT upgrades.
- $25 million was allocated to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to upgrade its smart building technology and building access system (BAS).
- $20 million was allocated to Texas Woman’s University for information resources and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- $5 million was allocated to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley for electric buses, infrastructure and charging stations.
According to the agency’s report, the estimated start dates for these awards are as follows:
- Texas A&M - September 2024.
- Stephen F. Austin State University - September 2024.
- Texas Woman’s University - January 2023.
- University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center - January 2023.
- University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley - September 2023.
