The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is looking to hire a senior web applications lead to oversee the agency’s software solutions and small to medium-size technology projects.

According to the job listing, the chosen candidate will work with internal and external stakeholders to design solutions that adopt industry best practices; program software solutions with unit testing; research modern technology and tools; recommend scalable software solutions; work with the agency’s DevOps team to enable pipelines; follow software development from inception to deployment and provide maintenance and post-production support.

  • Creating new processes and procedures to increase developer efficiencies
  • Providing technical leadership to multiple complex, large-scale projects
  • Researching new technology industry trends and creating adoption plans
  • Evaluating technology budgets, creating business cases for new solutions and preparing technical delivery road maps
  • Mentoring team members on technical concepts and adoption and managing vendor engagement
  • Providing production support, incident management and resolution on-call rotation support

The position has a monthly salary range of $9,000 to $10,400, and the application deadline is ongoing.
