The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) seeks an expert company to consult on its ServiceNow platforms before a go-live date.

TRS is tasked with providing the public pension program and related benefits for the state’s public education employees, retirees and beneficiaries. The agency serves 1.9 million employees and retirees; it also manages about $183.5 billion worth of funds.

The agency is seeking a vendor to “assist with the planning, implementation and growth of its ServiceNow product,” according to RFP No. TRS000417.

According to the scope of work, “TRS recently worked with a vendor to develop and stand up both ServiceNow IT Service Management and Strategic Portfolio Management Professional components. Because of discovery related to the Demand and Agile applications, a reassessment of these … components is required prior to SPM go‐live. The reassessment will ensure the ServiceNow Agile 2.0 application meets each of TRS’ 15 scrum teams’ needs and aligns with industry best practices.”

Qualifications include being able to consult, assess, develop and implement various aspects of the software, and vendors should have at least three years’ experience with the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management and the IT Service Management platforms.

The RFP’s questions due date is Aug. 21, and proposals are due Sept. 12. There is a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference on Aug. 18.

TRS uses Texas SmartBuy to post opportunities under member No. 323; however, all responses mused be submitted through the TRS Procurement and Vendor E-System (PAVES).
