The state’s official technology agency is seeking potential vendor responses regarding commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS) and other related services.

In fact, the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) intends to release a request for offer (RFO) for COTS and services like installation, configuration, integration with other applications, training, maintenance and support.

According to the pre-solicitation document from DIR, respondents may offer COT software, including SaaS (software as a service), in any category.

A few examples of these types of software include:

  • Audit Management
  • Transportation Routing and Management
  • Fleet Management
  • Construction Management
  • Engineering Design
  • Quality Management
  • Government Compliance Solutions
  • Financial Management Systems

Once the RFO is published, DIR will evaluate all submitted responses and select one or more qualified respondents. All awarded contracts will be indefinite quantity contracts with no minimum guarantees or purchases.
