Tracking the Spend: DIR Bought $117M in IT Goods in Q1

The Texas Department of Information Resources’ five largest purchases of IT goods during this year’s first quarter totaled $117,066,061. Specific buys included statewide technology center payments and computer services.

During this year’s first quarter, the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) spent $117 million on its five largest IT goods purchases.

DIR delivers technology solutions to state and local government entities, including purchasing support, policy insights, strategic direction for statewide IT and cybersecurity risk analysis.

In total, DIR spent $117,066,061 on its five largest IT buys. Here with rounding, are those purchases, according to the Texas Comptroller’s “Payment to Payee” visualization:


Regarding specific purchases, DIR spent $105 million on statewide technology center payments, $6.2 million on the statewide telecommunications network and $5.6 million on computer services.
