Tracking the Spend: Division of Emergency Management's Top Five IT Purchases

The division responsible for coordinating the state and local government’s response to and recovery from emergencies and disasters spent just under $25 million on its five largest purchases of IT goods during the third quarter of 2022.

According to the Texas Comptroller’s (CPA) “Payment to Payee” visualization, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) spent $24,804,903 from July 5 through Sept. 30.

Here, with rounding, were the division’s top five tech spends:

• $17 million for purchased contract services, furnishing and equipment rentals and computer software rentals by TDEM
• $5.3 million to Recana Solutions LLC 
• $1.3 million to Texas A&M University System Administration
• $781,020 to AT&T Mobility National Accounts LLC
• $423,883 to Gothams LLC
