Tracking the Spend: DSHS Spent $39M on IT Goods in Q2

During the year’s second quarter, the Texas Department of State Health Services purchased contracted services, computer and IT services and computer software.

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) spent $39,108,262 on its five largest purchases of IT goods in the second quarter of 2023.

The agency oversees programs related to public health, including maternal and child health, emergency preparedness, dental health, genetic services, fitness and nutrition, immunizations and injury prevention.

Regarding specific purchases, DSHS spent $15.9 million on purchased contracted services, $15.3 million on computer services, $6 million on IT services and $1.5 million on computer software.
