The vast majority of the office’s spending went to the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC), which received $441.5 million between Jan. 21 and June 28.
TFC responsibilities include facilities planning, asset management, design, construction and operation and leasing, according to its website. The commission provides site security and maintains a surplus program.
According to the Texas Comptroller’s “Payment to Payee” visualization, here are the top five vendors after the TFC:
- $483,158 to Guidehouse, a prime vendor providing deliverables-based information technology services through the Department of Information Resources
- $429,456 to Innovation Event Management, a firm that provides event management and consulting through federal and state contracts
- $156,139 to the University of Texas at Austin for purchased contracted services
- $47,448 to Travel Market Insights, a company providing market intelligence on international travel to the U.S.
- $42,500 to Tourism Economics, which provides global travel data, forecasts and consulting
During the same period, the Governor’s Office spent $276,400 from its executive account. The largest of those purchases, $60,300, went to the constituent management software firm Indigov.
