Tracking the Spend: Texas Workforce Commission's Top 5 Buys of IT Goods

The commission responsible for providing workforce development services to the state’s job seekers and employers spent just under $30 million on its top five IT spends during the fourth quarter of 2022.

According to the Texas Comptroller’s (CPA) “Payment to Payee” visualization, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) spent $29,907,619 from Oct. 3 through Dec. 29.

Here, with rounding, were the division’s top five tech spends:

• $17 million to the Texas Department of Information Resources for computer services
• $5.6 million to Civitas Strategies Early Start LLC
• $4.2 million to Geographic Solutions Inc
• $1.8 million to Curantis Group LLC
• $1.2 million to Unisys Corporation
