Tracking the Spend: TxDOT Spent $61M on IT in October

The Texas Department of Transportation’s IT spending included payments to the Department of Information Resources, SAP National Security Services, Accenture and more.

State agencies spent $432.1 million across IT-related categories in October, with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) spending $61 million.

TxDOT is responsible for developing and operating the state’s integrated transportation system and facilitating the movement of freight and international trade.

Here, rounded up, is the agency’s top five vendors, according to the comptroller’s “Payments to Payee” visualization:

Regarding specific purchases, TxDOT spent $22.9 million on purchased contracted services, $20.3 million on information technology services, $6.6 million on personal property and $4 million with the statewide technology center.
