UT Health Center in San Antonio Requests Website Build

A University of Texas health and learning hub is looking for an experienced vendor to build modern, accessible oncology and health-care websites.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) seeks a health-care-focused web vendor to build its oncology and health-care websites, according to a request for proposals (RFP) due Jan. 23.

The new sites will in part support the merger between UTHSCSA and UT San Antonio, which will include a new hospital, more health-care facilities and expanded research.

Vendor requirements include:
  • Having proven success in health-care-related content
  • Serving audiences including health consumers, students, future students, faculty and staff
  • Showing cultural competence and being familiar with the service area
  • Providing a HUB subcontracting plan
  • Complying with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0
Work will include:
  • Building a web content strategy
  • Building an accessible, authoritative website
  • Developing a user-friendly site
  • Developing content including video, infographics and various media
  • Using consistent branding and style
Proposals for RFP no. 745-25-P12 are due at 3 p.m. Jan. 23, and questions may be submitted through the portal until 3 p.m. Jan 14.
