Waco plans to streamline processes for city codes and has published a request for proposals (RFP) seeking an experienced provider who will do code review and analysis to create a more consistent system.

Electronic publishing, web hosting and research are part of the project with an eye to expanding capabilities to GIS and mobile technology. The final product will be available to internal users, external users and the public.

A vendor that has experience in projects for similar cities is sought for the three-year contract, but contracts totaling more than $50,000 will need City Council approval.

RFP 2024-031 has an online pre-bid meeting at 10 a.m. April 16, a question deadline of April 26 and a submission deadline of 2 p.m. May 7.

The city’s contact for this RFP is Daryle Bullard.
