Background and Achievements

Prior to ISF, Corbin held senior leadership roles spanning multiple industries. Her career includes Slalom, Inc., a global business and technology consulting company, Chick-fil-A, Inc., one of the most profitable, influential, and respected restaurant brands in the world, and Macy’s, Inc., a Fortune 500 retailer. In the public sector, she partnered with State of Florida senior officials in the executive and legislative branch as well as national experts in agriculture and emergency management.

Her work has received national recognition, including an Emmy® Award for a public service announcement produced during the global health pandemic. She also served as the client partner on a statewide emergency operations technology modernization initiative that led, in part, to Florida’s presidential-appointed seat on the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) Review Council. The initiative improved efficiencies to expedite resources to communities in crisis, enhanced financial stewardship, and helped reduce the risk of potential fraud, waste, and abuse.

Additionally, Corbin co-authored a report for the U.S. Fire Administration to address the country’s increased wildfire activity and supported legislative efforts to secure $3.5 billion in USDA block grants for southern states following Hurricane Michael, the first federal disaster assistance in history for timber farmers.

Outside of work, Monica enjoys traveling, CrossFit, and competitive tactical sports. She also volunteers as a certified leadership speaker and coach with the Maxwell Leadership Foundation, supporting values-based leadership development in communities around the world.
