Sacramento-based consulting firm M Corp has completed a major project for CalPERS that includes migrating 500 million records of data from a legacy mainframe system to a new database, the firm announced.
The project was part of the CalPERS Pension System Resumption Project and the my|CalPERS program that will now allow employees to access data on a modern Oracle database.
"We developed an excellent, seamless solution for CalPERS," said M Corp Partner Alex Castro in a press release.
The state’s 1.6 million pension members will not be impacted by the migration, according to the announcement.
